ust interests?

The real reasson I did that is because while I knew when people got bored or didn't like it, I just kept talking anyway because I needed to get it all out; I needed feedback about all of it, which was a part of me, really bad, because I was understimulated. Does that make sense?

I was the same way. I also HATE being judged on half a statement. I even created this odd way of talking at my last job, so people KNEW an idea wasn't completed, or they ended up hurting themselves. And they say **I** interrupt! HA!

I never shut up as a kid because I did not realize I was talking too much and had alot to say.

I just want feedback...it's like I get desperate for some reaction other then boredom, so I just keep talking. "If you listen you me all the way through, you'll understand why it's great too!" Honestly, the nicest reaction I've gotten to my interests was from my mom or best friend who would listen quietly, but never actually care about what I was saying. It's just that they understood that it meant a lot to me...or probably that getting me to shut up would be too much of a chore.

I mostly keep my babbling to my mom now. Unfortunately I subject her to all of it (not sure she always listens  ). I need the outlet...sometimes I just HAVE to keep babbling about whatever.

Actually I do it to myself a ton too-I talk to myself about whatever it is and sometimes carry on simulated conversations with myself, asking myself questions about the topic so I can keep babling.

These days, I just feel an almost irresistable need to "get it out"; especially when I'm part-way though, I just need to finish what I started.

(It's particularly noticable when I've just told someone about something I've done at work, and am explaining the fifty thousand things that might cause problems or confusion down the track).

I try really hard some days not to do it... what should be simple (ie., shutting up!) is frustratingly difficult sometimes.

Because as a child, I only ever spoke at length to my mother or to other adults who I trusted, and they always acted (as far as I could tell) interested in what I had to say.
