At Christmas a friend and I were looking into making Asperger's t-shirts for each of us...

She made one for her husband that read "Human 2.0" and well, he loved it and wears it proud!

Since then, we have been randomly shouting out t-shirt ideas and wondered if anyone else had any thoughts!

I tend to like one that I saw recently that read "eye contact is overrated" :D

But I am leaning towards having one made that reads "I don't do social" also

I often wear things that are a little bold and out there, so I think that these would be fun and educational

What would yours read?

Cool. Funnily enough I’ve been experimenting with fabric printing recently. Doing loads of samples to try and develop the technique. I'm doing a design on a fisherman's smock. It is going to be geometric, squares in fact.

I don't have money for silkscreen so I'm using my own masking technique using speedball inks. I did try using some women’s nylon tights at one point to try and create a sort of pseudo silk screen but I abandoned that. I pretty much figured out the way I'm going to do it. What does your friend use?

Anyway my suggestions…

How about 'Aspie Love'. Have boy and girl 'aliens' holding hands, then have thought bubbles for each showing little icons of their obsessions, with maybe one or two in common.

Another idea is 'Bad Aspies', which is basically the same aspie couple with dom and sub outfits :P

I got that idea because edal once posted about a former girl friend who said she had been a very naughty girl (or something like that). He took her literally and disagreed :D

This reminds me of a shirt I had as a young teenager. It read "I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem." Thinking back, it does seem like a perfect aspie shirt. How many people here have said they get mistaken for having a bad attitude just because they don't do the typical NT gestures/looks etc

actually, funny story...

I work with in a community health centre and I always have this one, VERY social, outgoing, "cool" (none of these in my eyes, but in others) Dr. Everyone seems to enjoy his company, he is always laughing and joking around, but for whatever reason he strikes me as being very...uhm...."ghetto". Anyhow, he is always looking my direction and trying to figure me out. I interact with my select few, never make eye contact, etc...so he is curious. One day he decided to go on a mission to start asking me (every chance he got), why I look so serious, etc. This was a very awkward place to be, as he was overstepping boundaries with me and well, I am not interested in conflict at work...and I am naturally VERY bad with censorship.

So, one day, he purposely stepped out of his way, into my office and asked the same question, again and I just turned to him and said "I don't do social" in a very flat tone. :D

If ever there was a man to stammer, this man was tongue tied and completely uncomfortable!

Mission accomplished! What the hell possessed him to think I would have any interest in his friendship??! !

I proceeded to tell him, when he finally spit another question out of his mouth, that I come to work to work, not play and he stood before me in complete amazement. Bloody NT's

No, I am not. Sadly, I have more of the right brain than the left...:)

I just thought it was fitting to AS that signature :D

Tabula rasa T shirt topic

I was never one for messages on clothing, because I worry the consequence is unwanted attention. However, I suppose the time has come to write proud and loud on a white shirt to tell the world I am (what else?) a
