After a year and a half of no luck, we have an appointment at an infertility clinic in March. On the surface there seems to be nothing wrong with me, and hubby went in for his "cup test" on Thursday (results probably by Monday).

The only thing I could find that would be suitable for a cup was a tiny little jam jar, those ones you get at hotels at the buffet breakfast - LOL. When he dropped it off at the clinic, he said it was the most embarrassing thing. Poor man. Laughs. If he knows how much invasive poking will be done to me in the future, I'm sure he'll forgive me.

Not right now, but I've been there. I tried for a while and no baby, so my doctor prescribed Clomid. He told me to take a pregnancy test before I took my Clomid - and it was positive! I was stunned because I was told I had a small chance due to endometriosis, plus what were the chances of that timing? lol I now have two beautiful children. When your husband sees his precious baby, he'll definitely forgive you. Wishing you the very best!

Sorry, can't help myself on this one... When I get a prostrate check..I learned pretty fast not to ask for a second opinion.

Good luck to you and your husband.

I'm just past there. Me and husband tried for more than 6 mths.
Ovulation tests were no good. I suggest a cool lil microscope shaped like a lipstick that you look at your saliva under. Was pregnant 5 days after buying it!
We lost a baby at 4 weeks, and I was convinced we were in trouble after all the waiting. TRYING for baby is nerve-wracking.
But 2 DAYS after the loss is the first day of what is now a 19 week pregnancy.
So good luck. :)
We'll be looking forward to seeing how you do, and wishing you the best!

In about 6 months we will be trying for another child, we have two ,but I have been pregnant 11 times and miscarried all but the two times and with my son he had a twin who was miscarried, my son was born fine though (other then Aspergers, which I think has nothing to do with anything but our genetics). the last miscarriage was last fall but I needed to be on prednisone September till the end of December because my asthma became very bad and couldn't be controlled any other way, and my doctor wants me to lose the weight I put on and get my general health better. I also had pneumonia and a couple of lung infections in the early fall/winter.

We are unofficially open to children. If it happens, great; if not, get a dog. 8)

The rabbit test topic

It took me two years to get pregnant with my last child. We had to have sex every night. I was getting sick of it. :tired: :eew:
It takes longer to conceive the older you are. I had two miscarriages in my life. I have three healthy NT children.

I know someone who is volunteering right now at an elementary school because her doctor told her that if she wants to get pregnant (she had a number of miscarrages) she had to quit her job (law) and volunteer with young children ASAP. Apparently it helps.

LOL sounds like an old wives tale to me. However, back when I was desperately trying to conceive, I would have tried almost anything.

Eh, I've done lots of urine tests, and you get used to it after a while.
I wish you and your husband the best.

I had a prolactinoma...no darn doctor ever diagnosed it...a chineese medicine doctor (actually friend) told me all these symptoms were related...I was always told I couldn't have kids because of it...

One day, I got pregnant...symptoms for the prolactinoma and pregnancy are the same...hehe...I thought it was my tumor acting up...hmmm...

I read at the time that they believe almost 20% of the population may have it and are not diagnosed...

Good luck to you and your husband!

I don't want to get pregnant. I want to adopt.

However,if my PARTNER wants to get pregnant, that's fine. Just not me.

Wow, Is it typical to have miscarriages? My sister had difficulty getting pregnant and lost a few like that. She has two kids now. My mom had to take clomid to get pregnant with us. I am 31 already and still not quite where i want to have kids yet. Chances are, i will have to take clomid too. Dont know... we've never actually tried to get pregnant.
