Ok. So Berserker's mom doesn't let her do anything. She won't let her go anywhere. She's pretty much confined to her house, unless she goes to see her Nana.

I just took NyQuil for my cold and I'm about to pass out, so this message can't be as detailed as I'd like it to be.
Right now I think her best option is to work it out with her mom. She should let her mom know that she's unhappy being inside online all day and let her know that she is willing make the work and effort it will take in order to make a lifestyle change. And then go from there.

Berserker is close to being 18 so the best suggestion I can make is to use the year or two she has until 18 to plan and prepare to do what she thinks is best for her future.
Find something she can do to save some money (job , make and sell own arts and crafts.. pretty much anything she is good at can become a source of income).
Research her options (finish her education / move out on her own)
Increase number of serious chats with her mom. If mom not willing to listen, there's the stepfather or nana. The message needs to get across. Not a message of how much she wants things to change but a message of 'hey i'll be 18 soon we need to do something for my future' type of talks.
And of course, to please keep posting here every day. We're here to support her too!
I think that you should move out and start making your own rules. Move acrossed the country if you have to. Come up with a plan of escape. Find a decent job, when you get settled, in your new environment. I wish that I could adopt you. The problem is that I really can't have another person living in my apartment. I don't have the room, and I have to abide by the laws.
If Berserker is 16 her mum can't legally force her to come back home if she leaves (ie. the police can't intervene). It's just a matter of finding a place to go.
