Romney announced his withdrawal from the Republican presidential race today. I personally am glad to see him go because of his tax plan and his incessant flip-flopping, but I am not any more optimistic about the rest of the race. Hillary vs McCain does not appeal to me.

I bet it'll end up being Obama/McCain, because he's more electable against him.

I'm so annoyed with this election. So much rigging going on. In New York, there were false reports that Ron Paul dropped out.

"Here are Photo's of the display card.

This man, Gabe got the police report today. The police conveniently left off the report that Sargent Essex of the Freeport Police Department confirmed with the officer that Ron Paul had dropped out. Gabe does have 3 witnesses that heard him. Gabe is going to now file a complaint with the BOE."

Romney merely suspended his election meaning he is still in and still keeps his delegates.

I read a projection that McCain would probably win against Hillary and lose against Obama. Combine that incentive for the Dems, along with Obama now having more pledged delegates than Hillary (though she has more unpledged delegates, not entirely certain how the whole system works) might convince Democrats to nominate Obama instead. In any case, I would predict that one will be the other's running mate, so the only difference is the order they appear in.

I'd hope, if he's not still in it I don't think I'd have anyone to vote in favor of.

This may mean Mitt Romney may become someone's running mate!

Maybe he saw something wrong with himself no one else did.

Maybe he was running to burn money he didn't need, or some sort of publicity stunt for future consulting. I think he's too much of a Mormon "track-runner" archetype (Yale scholar, athlete, a wife and many kids to build a family deity, etc.") He doesn't really relate to a populous that desires drunk, partying drop-outs.

Romney's hair bugged me. If he weren't rich and was a teenager, he'd get beat up for having hair like that.
