I am taking a social sociology class and I have to write a paper about something that has to do with sociey, beleifs, and people interactions (Human society). I want to write something about AS and compare it to the NT social world , but i'm not sure which part of AS i should focus on, or what would make for a really interesting paper............

Any ideas for my final paper? Thanks guys!! !

That aspies see the world realistically?

Well, at least something focused about the difference in perceptions. Perhaps, how sensory overload can cause aspies to react to overstimulating situations in a manner different from NTs. Depending on who we are, we do everything from "zone out" as I do, to meltdown.

Exploring the reasons and incidence of that might be interesting.

But, then, I'm an English teacher and don't know that much about social science assignments.

Well, since it's Sociology, you would need to focus on interaction of course, so maybe take a look at our Aspie social skills (or the lack thereof) and how this affects us and how it is likely to affect the people who interact with us and all that comes into an Aspie/NA social interaction equation.

But be honest. Give the NAs a fair argument, too. Don't write your paper about us getting dumped on all the time or something. (Or at least not the whole paper ;) )

And maybe even show many NA's difficulty with understanding us socially as well as our difficulty understanding them. :D

Sounds like a good topic for a paper, Dej. :) I suggest arguing and supporting what you say with lots of facts and examples... and to be fair to the NTs.
