If I want to copy my own posts onto my blog (Yahoo 360), am I in violation of the Wrong Planet copyright policy?

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Well, the policy does not exclude the writer's own content:

unless specifically stated that content posted to WP becomes their property then it is automatically excluded by federal standards...

i say go ahead and post it... if alex has an issue he will request a DMCA takedown.

I would like to see a response from WP staff. I want to make sure I am not violating policies.

You can probably bet they are going to say the same thing... that your posts are YOUR content and are YOUR problem.

If so, then the policy should, IMO, be rewritten to exclude the writer's own content.

i agree... the policy seems a bit obsoleted anyways... come on a .txt file... puhleez. upgrade the policy, make it plain english, reduce the legal jargon... ahhh soo many ways the policy can be updated...

Technically, as soon as you write something down, you are immediately given copyright protection for it, no entity can deprive you of that right. Of course you have to prove you are the author.

True, but copyrights can be turned over to others (as with a book author and a publishing company). Until Alex clarified it, I wondered whether, in posting messages on this forum, I was giving up my right to repost them in my blog.
