What would be the first thing you do if you cure AS

Suppose you are lying on your bed one night putting together memories from your childhood and thinking and thinking and thinking and suddenly you have a lightbulb moment and you understand why you behave that way, and you understand how AS works and then see a very obvious way to remove all the symptoms. You try it and a few weeks later you are a NT.

What's the next step? what's the first thing you'd do?

I'd probably feel an incredible and near uncontrollable urge to speak to someone.

But, I'm sure the feeling will disappear just as sudden and mysteriously as it appeared. *poof*

Keep in mind that there are many introverted NT's. Hell, there are some people here that are so borderline that they are unsure of whether or not they have the condition.

It doesn't necessarily mean that the second you get "cured," you have the compulsion to visit a nightclub or something. For many, I don't think there would even be much difference.

id rather take a 'be NT for a day' than a cure.


oh man id grab the nearest person that irritates me with constant small talk and HAMMER THEM with hours of never ending babbling.

I wouldn't cure it.

I'd hang myself.

have a clean home. go back and get the BA i'll never get in my current state.

anything to do with people wouldn't change much, i think, because i'd still have memory of the last 24 years, and how people 'really' are, and i think t hat if i were cured tomorrow it's possible for it to be too late o pick up on some things. i think i'd still prefer my limited social engagements. either way, i still wouldn't 'get' what i'm missing.
i don't care about passing. just the ability to be independent.

I would apply to a proper university and live in halls. all my friends say how wonderful it is, 'time of your life' etc etc etc, but being the way I am I know it would be hell to me. but I wish I could do it and enjoy it.

I got there first, bunky. Death by drowning takes roughly three minutes, and death by hanging can take up to fifteen if you don't do it exactly right.

Wonder why the hell my schoolwork suddenly got so damn hard. Then proceed to do a lot of stupid ilogical things based purely on emotion. Hurt myself pretty badly as I could suddenly feel pain for the first time in my life. Worry myself to death about what people thought of me and then ignore my best friend through 11 years because he isn't "cool".

... Can I just hang myself as well?
