A debate I'd love to see

Here's a debate I'd love to see televised. What if we got a few controversial figures who's opinons contrasted to have an organized debate? A debate that would be interesting would be one between David Duke (Former klansman and senator), Louis Farrakhan (Founder of the nation of Islam), Fred Phelps (Founder and pastor of the anti-american and anti-homosexuality westboro baptist church), and Peter Gilmore (current dark pope of the church of satan). Could you imagine that? Would that not be an interesting debate??

It might be amusing, but I would probably not care enough to watch a debate between a group of nut jobs all of whom I dislike equally. Much the same reason I did not watch the Democratic debates- I already knew that I fundamentally disagreed with the policy positions everyone there was putting forward, so why would I watch to see who did the best job of promoting what to me is anathema?

Not even for a good laugh?

I have Abbott and Costello, Monty Python, The Three Stooges, etc if I want a laugh.

dunno if this counts as a debate, but it's more of a town hall thing. i'd like to see George Bush answer questions in front of British voters. i saw how they absolutely tore Tony Blair apart when he was running for re-election and i'd love to see them to the same to Dubya.

oh yea, and in light of her calling him a fa***t, i'd love to see Ann Coulter and John Edwards go at eachother. i imagine it as volleys of "you're stupid" before devolving into a sissy slap fight.

I was hoping for Killary -v- Newt, I would pay to watch Newt tear her apart, she is a mental m***et compared to him.

Newt... Gingrich I presume? Isn't he the one who made all kinds of great promises to the American electorate and didn't really deliver on any of them?

Jerry Springer has the experience and nerve to moderate the discussion, or he might escape to Dancing w/ the Stars Season 274.

No, I was never told to think anything about Gingrich. You see, I was too young to care about politics back when he was in office. Looking back over history, I see our politicians all doing the same things regardless of which party they belong to. Their goal is to attain and maintain power, not to advance their ideals. Politicians with firm ideals rarely if ever become as prominent as Gingrich. He was a political opportunist and the Contract with America was mainly a load of political grandstanding which backfired when Newt threw a temper tantrum over airplane seating arrangements.

Yes, I am highly disappointed with Pelosi and the Democrats in Congress. We gave them control over the legislature as a sort of vote of no confidence in the Bush administration; they had indicated that if we only gave them power they would impeach Bush, end the war, fix Medicare and Social Security, etc. They have done none of these things. Which is why my disgust with politicians isn't limited just to the "Republican Revolution" for the Democrats are just the same: promise the people anything, everything, whatever they want, do whatever is necessary to gain power. When all is said and done and the election's over they will carry on as they have before, ignoring the will of those they claim to represent.

Yes, and Newt is also a health-nazi. He wants people to eat less fast food, exercise more. He doesn't like trans-fats. His Center for Health Transformation sounds like Jesse Jackson when it said: "There are three principal areas of health disparities: ethnicity, geographic location, and socioeconomic status."





According to Newt, the terrorists don't even need to defeat us to destroy our Constitution - they only need to threaten us and we will do it ourselves.
