Does anyone know of the new Asperger support service that is supposedly based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire? I live in Mansfield and there is absolutly NO means of contacting anyone, they mention it online and in the papers and then they give you NO means of contact, no name, number, nothing, does anyone know any more than I do about this?

It may well be run thru' social services [learning disabilities], the community mental health team [CMHT] or possibly the local NAS branch. Best bet would be to ring the cmht tomorrow.

Yeah I might try that, but social services have alreaddy assessed me and refused to refer me to anywhere apart from this dumbass psych who blamed my problems on my bf, so if it's any service that requires referal I still won't be able to get it.

GP's can usually be persuaded to do what they're told when threatened by a solicitors' letter. See if there's a local independent advocacy service to help out. Don't try to fight the battle on your own.
