At this point, I can only roll my eyes and hope that infectious disease kills most of us first. ;)

The Weekly World News does seem to appear - shall we say - a little bit 'lunatic fringe'.

If it truly had been predicted than an acidic dust-cloud was on the way to Earth, I'm sure the Rich and Powerful would be looking for a way to got out of the way, or else they would be going totally berserk and trying to destroy the planet before they were killed off.

It is a joke. They arent really trying to convince us the earth is coming to an end.

My personal favorite: http://picard.ytmnd.com/

When I first heard this I kept the browser window open for an hour, bopping and singing along.

Me? Obsessive? Naaaaah.

An hour, seriously? I was ready to climb the walls after a minute or two.

I was doing other things at the same time, but yes, the Picard Song was my background music for about an hour.

And yes, my husband felt like climbing the walls at the time, too. :D

*covers ears and screams like a Ringwraith*

Obviously, I did not like that song very much. It was a little wierd because the guy's face was pictured several times on the webpage, all in neat little rows and columns.

I LOVE the Weekly World News - if I'm depressed and at the grocery store I always buy one and it makes me laugh
