For any of you who haven't heard, they're coming out with a new version of CS Lewis' The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe sometime in December. Looking at the cast list, it should be a good movie. Is anyone else excited about it and/or planning to see it when it comes out?

I planning to see it. I have to admit I have never read the books, but I intend to before the movie premieres. Another reason for needing to read them is that my high school is performing Narnia: The Musical in January.

I am planning to see it. When I was younger I wasn't really interested in the Narnia books. I have finally decided to read them. I am reading the Magician's Nephew now and I will hopefully be done with the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

I've only read The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe. I do plan on going to the theatre to see the movie.

If we had a movie theater where I live I'd likely go see it. If not and its good I'll get it when it comes to DVD.

I'll definitely be seeing it. I spent my childhood in Narnia.

I think there was a film of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" made about twenty years ago- I remember watching it when I was about seven. It stuck very closely to the book, which is A Good Thing of course.

And I still spend half my time in Narnia. ;) Or, wait, is that Middle- earth??

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was always my favourite Narnia book, closely followed by Prince Caspian and The Silver Chair. The movie is going to be of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which is probably the most well-known out of the seven. I hope the movie follows the book as closely as possible and I'm anxious to see how they choose to portray the different characters, specifically Mr. Tumnus (the faun). He was always one of my favourite characters... :)

Me too! The parts I like are the battle scenes and the analogy to Christianity in C.S. Lewis' works. Very Cool.

Ditto, but I'm going to be realistic. My hopes are not that it will be as good as the books because this is theoretically impossible. I hope that they will stay true to the books, even if small details deviate in their own various ways. It must follow the letter of the law, not necessarily the law itself. ;) Another biblical allusion for you there, Grievous.

Thanks. I do like allusions. I agree with you by the way.
