Colleague: There was hardly any traffic this morning. I was here by 8am.
Me: At 8am, I was slaying trolls in the Alterac Mountains.
Colleague: Alterac Mountains eh? Is that local?
Me: No, it's in a computer game.
Colleague: I know that dear. I was being sarcastic.

ARGH! I knew that she knew it was in a computer game, but for some reason my automatic response to what she said was to take it at face value.

Yesterday a colleugue (sp) said to me, "...I'm real sorry about your leg.." (referring to a no bodies fault but my own work scratch requiring a few stiches)

I replied, "Yeah whadja go and cut me for?"
(confused at his statement of appologee and mimicking the logic)

8O
Then I thought that was a really stupid thing for me to say. Luckily he laughed it off with a comment that he didn't have a comeback...and a perplexed look.

(its nice to have a few safe people to screw up speech around non detrimentally)

I don't say dumb things.

When I talk, it's for a specific reason and purpose.

havent said anything verbally [non verbal fully, for past few days] but lately have been getting the speech software to say random swear words or the farting habits of some staff who think they;ve gotten away without anyone noticing or the ones who let out really loud ones on the toilet, staff said they wish had never got the speech software.

It's only 11:42....sigh....

Yesterday when a guy called and asked how I was, I actually answered with the truth instead of the obvious "fine, thank you". I was just caught off guard. Halfway through my litany of complaints I just stopped and said..."well, now you'll never ask that question when you call here again, will you?". He thought it was a joke. He laughed.

Thankfully my partner thinks most of what I say is hysterical...thank god....

I can't remember, but I came up with several sentences today that were so badly garbled from overload that even people very familiar with me had no idea what I was saying.
