I'm putting up a blog entry on my ASD blog (it's a member of the Autism Hub) tonight on this subject.

But to everyone who looks at Kathy's blog entry with the quash motion - also take a look at the previous entry;

This supoena smacks of a bruised ego, I think!

It was inevitable. Like spilled milk in the lunchroom. Teh kat macroes iz be teh unstoppabel forss!! !

WE R ALL KATLEEN NAU! ALL UR SUPEENA IZ BELONG TO US! MUAAAAHAHAHAHA!! !

I still haven't gotten a reply, but here is my e-mail to Shoemaker concerning my "Open Letter."

Heh. Well, seeing as my first weblog entry regarding
your pathetic "subpoena" ambush against Kathleen
Seidel was styled as an "open letter" of sorts, it
seems only fitting that you be provided with the
opportunity to read it:

My own punditry aside, the writing on the
(blogosphere) wall seems to suggest that you've
arrogantly stumbled into something you just don't know
how to handle. But don't take my word for it. Have a
gander at the list of links following this post at
Holford Watch.

Now, I'd give anything to hear what Scott Horton might
have to say about all of this, but alas, he's got much
bigger fish to fry. Still, personally, I can't help
but be fascinated by what other members of your own
profession are saying. And the deeper I dig into the
legal details involved, I find, the louder I laugh.

And now I see that decent Americans so universally
regard your "subpoena" as an abomination so cravenly
hostile to this country's founding principles and
enduring values that even David Kirby and Dan Olmsted
are now hedging their bets. Nice work. I can't help
but be reminded of when George W. Bush uttered the now
tragicomical words, "I'm a uniter, not a divider" --
and then promptly set about uniting 90% of humanity
_against_ himself and his administration.

"Know thine enemy, and know thyself, and you shall be
victorious."

Ooops! Well, I guess it's too late for that
particular lesson. Oh, well. Tough luck, huh?

I'm a huge fan of neurodiversity.com and its owner, Kathleen. I first discovered her site two years ago, and was so impressed with her incredibly well-researched and well-written articles, that I was motivated to write some political letters which I actually sent (executive dysfunction difficulties notwithstanding).

I'm sorry to hear she's being attacked by an idiot lawyer, but I have a feeling that some good may come of it. More press will come to her site and I have a feeling she will prevail.
