Why am I attracted to older women all of a sudden?

Hello. I'm a 21 year old male who for the past year or so has been obsessing over older women. When I was a teenager I was the opposite. I was usually only attracted to girls who were 2 years younger than me. Is this weird to like older women? (late 30's to early 40's) or am I crazy? Would an older woman want to date a 21 year old? Why do I like older women? What do you guys think it is that makes me attracted to older women all of a sudden?



I happened to stumble upon a movie that reminded me of myself. It's about a teenage boy who watches his neighbor who he is attracted to through a pair of binoculars. The women is in her mid 30's and he's only 17 or so. Later in the film the boy goes to the woman's home and admits that he loves her, but she doesn't want him of course because he is too young. The boy gets sad and attempts to kill himself, but fails. While he is in the hospital the woman visits him and eventually she is the one who becomes obsessed with him.

Its always better to date older women as a young man

Older women are more patient with men. They dont play the silly games young women do. When a woman in her 40s says something, she means it. Straight up, and to the point.

They are also comfortable with their bodies and their sexuality, so there is no shame or hiding that girls do.
Older women will never say "Does this make me look fat??" An older woman would know she is fat, and will know how to celebrate being big and know that if a man wants to be with her, he wants to be with her. There is something very sexy about a woman who is comfortable in her own skin.

Older women also love young men. Young men are beautiful. And very very eager. And easy to train. And dont want to move in/get married/split the mortgage.

I've always found it easier to relate to older people in general. Every one of my crushes as a teenager was an older woman, but I never could act on it because these women were always in positions that made it inappropriate. I am still like that. My preference is more for someone 10 years older than 10 years younger. I have always perceived older people to be smarter and nicer.

I used to not like the idea of dating a younger man, I always preferred older, but there are a different set of issues that happen as we age. I agree, older women are more comfortable with who they are. And, my personal experience, older men have alot more issues than younger ones. I would be very flattered if a much younger man was romantically interested in me. Ex) i dated an older man who started the whole thing out treating me like as if I were like his ex's who cheated on him, now, personally, with his personality, i can see why they cheated on him. (To feel cared for, or loved, which is something he failed to give me, so I presume he failed to give them) Then, before i ended it with him, i meet a man 13 years younger than me. He was wonderful to me. I liked his eagerness, and his fawning over me, and I liked the fact that he didn't want to get all that serious quickly. So yes, its ok to like an older woman.
