I'm right-handed most of the time. Although I can remember this one time when I was in fifth grade, I was eating my school lunch with my fork in my left hand. I didn't even realize it until everyone at the table was looking at me. I looked down and then finally noticed. I hadn't even realized that I was eating with my "other" hand! lol It was interesting to say the least.

I'm so inept with the left-hand side of my body, as is my aspie boyfriend.
My son who is 2.5 isn't showing hand preference yet.

This post brings up something I've told people for years. I'm right handed but do many other things with my left. I wear my watch on my right hand, cut meat with my right hand, etc. I've always felt I was supposed to be left handed and I've been told my kindergarten teacher taught everyone as right handed. I can write with my left hand (thought it's not super great) and I've actually done some writing exercises that were for young children with my left hand to try and switch to being left handed.

My nephew who is aspie is also left handed so maybe there is some sort of correlation though it seems that many aspies are right handed too.

I'm both, except when it comes to writing. So mostly right handed, I suppose.

I'm LEFT-HANDED and more than a little obsessed with it! ^__^

The only thing I do right-handed is use scissors because that's the way they taught me in elementary school and now it's too difficult to cut paper and things any other way. I also have terrible handwriting because my elementary teachers refused to teach me how to write the "proper way" because I was a lefty and thus too difficult to teach.

All other AS people that I know are also left-handed. That leaves me wondering whether AS and left-handedness are somehow related... :?

LuckyDuck :(

I've always wanted to be left-handed but alas, Im not.

Me too. Plus, I'm a french horn player--and that's a left handed instrument . . .

I write with my left and, and do almost everything else with my right. My dad (who is NT) is just the opposite. He writes with his right hand and does everything else with his left.

Right-handed. I'm extremely clumsy with my left hand.

Does this mean I'm left-brained?

No, not really. A lot of 'right brained' people write with their right hands. There are also left-handed 'left-brainers'.

Some things left, some things right.

Pen - right handed.
Baseball bat - left
Hockey stick - left
Golf club - right for some reason....
Soccer - right foot
Snowboarding - left foot

This needed to be a poll. I'm curious what the totals would look like.

Somewhat Ambidextrous. I tend to rely on my right hand more then my left because I was taught that way however.

It's not that I'm ambidextrous, exactly... I have one dominant hand for each task, it's just not the same hand for every task.

i'm the exact opposite! i'm a lefty for writing and eating, a righty for almost everything else.

it drive my elementary school teachers nuts that i wanted to write with my left hand, but "claimed" i couldn't used left-handed scissors :-)
