Antisocial I had a bad experience with being social. I don't want to make that same mistake again.

Antisocial PD is akin to sociopathy. I assume you were using the word in the common (though clinically innaccurate) use of the term. Or....? 8O

ADD, schizoid, anxiety disorder.

I thought that I had ADD since I started middle school.

Then as a teen I was dxed with anxiety disorder and put on Zoloft, and then Paxil. I probably do have that, though I refuse to take pharmeceuticals (especially SSRIs) anymore unless my life depends on it.

Then I read about schizoid personality disorder and thought that alot of it sounded like me, although my social difficulties have been there my whole life, they didn't just come along after adolescents. It obviously didn't explain all the other difficulties and atypical traits that have been there as far back as I can remember. Even combining ADD, OCD, depression, anxiety, schizoid, avoidant, dependant, and any other conditions that I have traits in common with and you still will fall short of an explanation. AS gives most of the reasons why those similarities are there, given the right context, and pretty accurately fills in the rest of the blanks as well.

If I were to self diagnose myself it would be: Schizoid.

Avoidant
Schizoid

Was diagnosed as depressed years ago, but that was a passing illness rather than a personality.

I kind of half self-diagnosed as schizoid for thirty years, although it didn't really fit.

I recognise traits of antisocial and schizoid personality disorders in myself.
