hi there
i have sufferd all my life with a dizzy head, its hard to explain but as far as i can figure its a sensory over load.
it usualy happens when i have to socialise or there is a lot of noise going on around me. its far more than just dizzyness
though its allmost as if my brain turns to jelly, i have only just discoverd aspergers or autism just wondering if anyone ellse
has this and has any advice on how to deal with it.

When I get over-stimulated, and I mean to the utmost extreme with two or more senses, I tend to go into shock that's proceeded by a short dizziness followed immediately by sensory blackout. It's pretty rare for me to black out anymore, but I still get dizzy and disoriented from time to time in particularly unpleasant settings (loud restaurants with awful lighting, for example.)

me too. Like I don't like sitting in a noisy cafeteria. I usually find a room that is less quiet to eat my lunch. You could try ear plugs.
Try not to look at the lights. Sometimes I will close my eyes for a second.

I bet most of us can't understand NT people, LOL. They are creatures of habit too, LOL!!

How bout trying a low fat diet? less sugar and caffine? It has helped me. Do you ever get sick to your stomach with your dizzy head? I do.

I get dizzy too, and nauseous. All sensory, or stress related.

Maybe find something that calms you down...for me it's a familiar movie, but it's different for everyone, I think.

thanks josie eating properly does help avoiding dairy products defanetly improves me. coffee an sugar sends me mad but i love tham both so much, but i do avoid them mostly, certian fats like whats in sausages realy does seem to inflame the dizzy ness, slowly i am weening my self of these and i can defenatly see a big difference.
thanks toby

yeah, i feel it too, except i would not call it a dizziness, it is more of a itch i think. i find myself scracthing my head just to make it feel better. i scratch so much, it leave a mark on my forehead. also, everytime i played a video game or watching tv, i put my arm on my forehead just to make the feeling go away.
