Just wondering if there are any (preferably) free burning apps out there that are just as good or superior to Nero.

Are you looking for just data burning or are we talking about authoring?

If you want to just burn data you can literally load in blank media, drag and drop onto the drive what you want to burn to it, and inside the drive click burn to disc...
