I put this in the general discussion because I want to get more than the opinions of people who love games. It seems to me that many of us do like games, and I wonder if it is because games even the social playing field by providing clear rules and structure for communication.

What's your opinion on this? Inquiring minds need to know....

I like board games, card games, strategy games and puzzle games. I have trouble with saccades which may be why I don't like modern video games. Old ones like Tetris and Pong I can do and like.

I really like board games (especially Clue), video games/computer games (though I don't have very many cartridges for my Game Boy), card games, and some strategy games (though I consider Clue a strategy game as well ;) ).

My favorite board games are scrabble, blokus, othello and careers.

Favorite card game: solitaire (what else?)

Favorite puzzle games are soma cube, rush hour, and tangrams or any variant thereof.

I am not playing video games right now but my favorites were all the nintendo puzzle games like tetris.

Puzzle games, of the video game variety. Tetris, Dr. Mario, etc. Alos like vidoegames, but only usually paly once a month. I prefer party games, and I never have anyone else to play with.

And...CARD GAMES! !! I love card gmaes, can't get enough of them. And I like board games, but people refuse to play Monopoly because of how long it takes to finish.

Video games for me. They're a lot more fun to me because putting one card on top of another card and moving a plastic piece around a board don't seem very fun to me. I especially love RPGs and fighting games. My favorite RPGs are the Final Fantasy series, and my favorite fighting games are the Samurai Shodown series.

I play memory card games and vector drawing. To do vector drawing, one takes a set of instructions and uses only a pencil, paper, straight edge, and compass to create an intricate geometric design. One I did resulted in a picture of Lambchop.

Clue is a strategy game.

And a kickass movie.

For actual nonvideo games, both spoons and bullsh-- are super fun card games. I haven't played either for awhile but I need to again. Chess is fun because you feel smart even when you're losing (which I usually do). Other than that, video/computer rpg and strategy games. I hate FPS games. I can't aim and they make me dizzy. I prefer turn-based action. Shining Force III (Us version, scenario I) was put out by Sega Saturn and is pretty much my favorite video game of all time.

Oh, and any Whose Line is it Anyway improv game, I love. The questions game, the alphabet game, the dating game, names from a hat, superheroes, anything! I egnerally don't have funny enough props to do "props" and I don't have confident enough friends for hoedowns or drinking songs.

Same here. I actually get sick like motion sickness.

Ironically, on actual carnival rides which make most people sick, I have a stomach of steel. ((My mom pointed out that I probably enjoy them more tha most people because the meds I'm on make the dizziness stronger. :P))

Ugh!
I don't get dizzy on carnival rides - especially rollercoasters.
I love rollercoasters - the higher and faster, the better!

Next weekend I am going to six flags in Massachusetts and I am going to ride Superman - Ride of Steel as many times as they will let me get on line. 70 miles per hour and no windshield!

Booyah!

Here! Here! But the DVD has to be played with all 3 endings. Of course!

BTW, I ordered Clue on CD-ROM a little less than a week ago (the Atari version) and am expecting it any day now in the mail. :D

I WANNA GO WITH YOU!! !

I didn't like Superman all that much when I went on it, though. I didn't like the restraints. They weren't "secure" enough. ((Considering someone fell out of that ride, I think I was kinda justified.)) Then again at the time I was *ahem* heavier, and the lap restraint would prpbably eb able to be snugger on me now, but I don't know. It was basically a "t" that comes between your legs and holds your thighs down.

Anything that has to do with strategy: chess, stratego, othello (even though I was cremed last time I played...), ionic gin (a chemistry game similar to gin rummy) and RPGs. I'm currently trying to learn how to RP with the dungeons-and-dragons style, which is very different than the kind I'm used to. I also enjoy playing tetris. :)

Oh yes. I like chess, too. Though I'm not as good at it as a used to be (don't quite know how that happened).
