The new fashion of long tunic or smock tops. Will people ask me if I am pregnant if I wear one?

Probably not, but for me I feel pregnant if I wear them. I avoid them altogether

I like them, but it depends on what the top is itself. Some are gorgeous, some just make you look pregnant. Others make you look pregnant on their own, but if you throw a nice waist-belt over top to cinch it in around your waist it can add definition and look absolutely stunning.

Depends entirely on what it is!

Personally, I plan on stocking up now so that in a few years when I have kids I already have some maternity wear. I always remember shopping with my pregnant cousin and the trouble she had to find clothes that fit.

Oh, those tops are so cute. I don't like it when they give me a "pregnant" look, though.

It depends on the top. Make sure you try them on first and only buy it if you love it. If you're really concerned, wear a belt with it, and wear tight pants like skinny jeans or leggings with them (if you're comfortable wearing leggings as pants). Just pants that fit well and aren't too baggy, because the slim line in these will counteract the baggier fabric in the top.

When people wear them to hide their tummy podge, it makes them look pregnant - I think only skinny people can look good in them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of my podge, I just don't think its a good idea to try to make it look round :)

Anyone ever watch What Not to Wear?

I think that show has some valitdity to different body types that aren't as flattering in certain clothes as others.

Okay so it didn't say no guys so I assume it's ok for me to post :?

Anyway MissConstrue I saw that show a few times and a British woman dressed like she was a teenager and she was middle aged and everything, she looked AWFUL!! !! But when they redid her clothes and the way she wore them she looked really attractive for a gal her age, and I think that it's true some clothes look better on certain body types and people than others do :)

Definitely. I love everything they pick out on that show. The only time they've ever gone wrong has been with a few hairstyles, that's about it.

^Cool so you guys have seen that show. Yeah I agree with the hair but was amazed about the way clothing makes certain people look. I had no idea before I saw that show. 8O
