I grew up watching it, had paradoxical reactions-of both boredom & fascination (how I feel about many things today, too). Was entranced by the computer graphics (such as they were) of the "spaceship" flight deck & window out onto the imagined cosmos (with those neat splinkle-y fuzzy blobs in the ethereal astronomical space). Was very much into the music (intro/outro of episode), too-it stuck with me, was almost my favorite part/feature. I was interested in things long before I could actually understand them, so Cosmos was one of those things-later in life I could consciously make much more sense of such materials.
