I'm planning on going back to being a Mod, The Kinks a la Austin Powers. I've half heartedley tried the Hippie thing for a couple of years. It just doesn't feel natural anymore. I get these urges to take the Bus to the Mall dressed in Carnaby Street fashion like I did before I got sick with Psychotic Depression back in 1998. I feel Nostalgic about the Good ol Days. My friends and my Mother say to be myself at all times, no matter what. I've also dealt with a Shrink who was telling me to blend in. I'm going to be myself from now on. I'm sick of blending in.

groovy baby, yeah!

seriously, blending in is overrated, if you can take the heat. I am a goth stylistically, not particularly extreme (no face make up,lol) but I prefer to be different.
good for you

I tried being a hippy in high school and I wasn't terribly happy being one. I was a mod/beatnik in college and things were much better for me culturally after that. I'm still a little bit of a beatnik.

I'm happy with the decision that I made to go back to my Roots. I wore one of my Austin Powers Suits to a Christmas Party at my Clubhouse and almost everybody there told me how wonderful I looked, and how much they liked my Out-fit. I've heard many times that people will like a person if they just be themself. Now I know that it's true. I'm looking forward to next year so I could do it all over again. :D

why wait 'til next year? ;)

and if you feel good about how you look yourself, you look better to other people (i have tested this, and it's absolutely true).

Cockney Rebel, I just wanted to tell you that whenever I read your posts, it makes me smile :D .

You seem to have a lot of confidence, and that's absolutely wonderful.

Also, what vetivert said is completely true.

There's an Easter Lunch comming up at the Clubhouse. I'll wear that Out-fit to the Easter Dinner.
