what ways do you use to cheer yourself up?

I'm a bit curious, so would you please share your experiences, thanks.

I sleep.

I look at the things that I like. (EG: Cute nazi boys, yaoi, guro, etc.)

I cuddle my little clown doll.

Usually when I'm feeling terribly depressed it means that I need to go to sleep.

If I'm feeling midway depressed (but not too much) it means I need to go for a walk, or do something productive.

Pretend I'm talking to someone who isn't depressed (it doesn't matter who- real life person, some character I've written about, etc.) It sounds weird but it can alleviate some funks. Also kill time.

I've gotta admit I have no idea what to do. I pretty much sleep, but due to something or the other I have almost perpetual lucid dreams. So I lie down and I'm still pretty much concious...so I end up just focusing on the problem until I figure it out or until I force myself awake cause I'm tired of dealing with it in a such a...'powerful' method. Periodically, friends will cheer you up too.

Be alone and relax, preferrably in my room while on my computer listening to music and posting here. But even after that, I'm far from being considred "cheery". But it makes a lot less depressed.

I use paracetemol as a placebo. Most of my current mood id depressed and well, I just usaully listen to music, go on extended aimless conquests down the town, lie in my bed, cry, be offensive towards people, typically act in a selfish fashion, avoid people (asside from a handful of friends), feel apathetic and lethargic. In other words I become I real lousy person.

I also like to listen to the Dr Joy Browne Show and listen to other people's problems, after a bad day.

I go patrol the streets and fight crime. Nothing like smashing some thugs heads in to make you feel better.

When I feel down, I have a number of methods to cope with problem
(1) I talk with my folks. They are very receptive to listening to my problems and understand my condition
(2) I talk with my psychologist. He is very expensive but is an excellent listener and his words can be soothing.
(3) Exercise is another good way to beat depression

Wallow in it I guess. Feeling down's a bit like a comfort zone; kind of like 'home' and in a strange twisted kind of way I sort of like being down, but obviously I don't ... that doesn't make sense. But it feels like a kind of 'home' anyway.
