I play a bit of keyboard, and I used to play violin but quit because of an evil teacher  The annoying thing is, I quit the traditional Scottish fiddle music I was learning, to concentrate on gaining my grades in Violin. I realised afterwards, it was the fiddle music I enjoyed playing in the first place... :wall:

I want to get an acoustic guitar, I love to play about with other people's but I never learned - and I want to! I would also love to have a bodhrán.

I used to play violin, but it's quite demanding... I don't play anymore

I'm a music programmer first and foremost. Writing music using computers and that sort of thing. But I play synthesizers, program drum machines, and play electric guitar (albeit terribly!).

I play the trumpet. began playing it when I was in 6th grade and I have been playing it for almost 7 years. Next year, I will graduate from high school and will no longer play my trumpet in a band. I'll just keep playing it as a hobby.

Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and bass.

I used to play keyboards, but not so much anymore =/ I'd really love to get some new instruments, like banjo, steel guitar, maybe even a violin.

What i usually suggest to my friends is to learn piano FIRST if they wanted to learn guitar because the chord structure is almost the same..........So maybe you should revisit that dream of yours and make it a reality

You're right, at first I learned to play piano, but Randy made a deep impression on me...he perished in the year I was born. He was only 25.
But really I don't think I'll come back to guitar  we're lacking good synths players in our bands

I'm afraid I'm not so talented :)
My idol was Janni Wirman from Children Of Bodom, but then I started with my own style of music, something like new age/dark ambient/ dark wave etc :)

I play guitar, bass, and drums.
Also a little harmonica and keys.

I find I can play melodies on just
about any instrument I pick up
(as long as it's not wind or brass.),
even if I've never seen the darn
thing before.

At work, I used to make my own
instruments from stuff laying around
the office. If you stretch rubber bands
around an empty tissue box you can
pluck them like strings.

Teach percussion, perform percussion and voice, write for everything (use computer, keyboard, malletkat).
