When I tried to create an account with the name "Assburger," it was already taken. First of all, what sick bastard is using such a cruel name. Second, who is this guy? Does he ever post?

if he is such a sick bastard for having that name, then why did you want that name? Wouldn't that make you the sick bastard?

No, because I'm using it as a satire to people using it for laughs

Asperger sounds like ass burger. Why did he have to name it after himself, anyway? Ego? Damn. If I had a dollar for every time I was called "fairy" because my name is Larree! The Name Game was a huge hit song when I was a kid. I could kill that songwriter, but, I digress... The first time I heard the name Asperger I though it was ass burger, too.

I pronounce it "ass-per-jer". It sounds more respectable that way.

He didn't.

Quote:
Asperger died before his identification of this pattern of behavior became widely recognized, because his work was mostly in German and barely translated. The term "Asperger's syndrome" was popularized in a 1981 paper by British researcher Lorna Wing, which challenged the previously accepted model of autism presented by Leo Kanner in 1943.

I don't know if it's more respectable that way. If you pronounced Tourette's as "tow-ret-tees" it wouldn't be respectable, people would just think you didn't know what you were talking about.

Ass purger? I'm sorry to put it this way, but that sounds like an enema or a laxative to me.
