Lived it.

Music was divine.

Alice in Chains (and lots of other grunge)
Queensryche
Van Halen's "Balance"

Cartoons were still cool, can't watch a lot of todays stuff...

Time of innocence for me (actually, that depends on my frame of mind...)

At times, I hate looking back, others I LOVE taking a stroll down memory lane. In innocence, I remember being amazed at so many things, but also at times felt deeply alone...

It was a decent decade, almost what would be considered normal.

It was the unacknowledged decade.

*raises hand* It was such a fun time to be a kid in that decade. Like really freaking fun. I think it would've also been a cool time to be a teen though. I liked the 90's Grunge style.

Wasn`t to bad, but then again i have very little memorie
from the years 1996-2000-ish, so that might have been real
bad without me knowing it :) those years are pretty much
a big black hole in my memory, and thats probably a good thing.
1990 to 1995 was great, good times overall, although i didnt think
so at the time

I was a teenager during the nineties. To me it represented the last years without serious psychological problems, the years when life seemed easy and full of plans (ironically though I am currently realising those plans, of which I am quite proud). And above all: the last decade when music was actually good.

Memories:

- going to Croatia at age 14 where I discovered the fascinating thing that is the female body (I won't go into further details for the sake of keeping my reputation of clean guy :D )
- becoming addicted to football
- holidays in Spain
- the last worryless years that ended when OCD hit me in 1998 (and has been around ever since :()

Music-wise:
- I loved Army of Lovers, and Ace of Base 8)
- I was very much into Enigma for a while
- I liked some songs by Whigfield, Me & My, Captain Jack, Gala, Savage Garden
- I somewhat loved the Macarena
- near the end of the nineties I discovered the actually good music when I first heard Heather Nova, Marilyn Manson, Manic Street Preachers, etc
- the hitparade was not polluted by gangsta rap yet

Am I that old? Is there a generation that sees the 90s as a distant past era with nostalgia? To me the 90s is basically like the 2000s but with crappier technology and less internets. "Oh wow look at my powerful 16 bit cartridge based gaming machine". "I can carry this huge cell phone with me in this huge purse". "Check out my Walkman tape player". Barbarism I say!

During the 90s I got bullied a lot at school :(

The cartoons were good, though :)

I like the late 1990s, when Austin Powers was all the rage. 1997 to 1999, baby!

90's were a good time to grow up. I like how many people mention the cartoons, they really were awesome, I hate how they've become lately from what I've seen, especially the prevalence of anime (no offense to all the anime fans I know are probably here its a very interesting kind of art but not my cup of tea)
