I sometimes rock outdated looks (I have a pair of British Knights remakes that no one my age would ever dare wear) because I like being original. Some girl at a bus stop made fun of my BK's but it didn't phase me. I'm also not your average sneakerhead. I love high tops, and love ugly shoes. You are who you are. I've let society dictate me too long and I'm now tired of caring. I don't know if that's what you meant, but if so, then I have that attitude as well :D

I have too ! if i cared about everything it would go crazy :P
Everything is black and white for me as for alot of asperger ppl guess.

Either i care alot or i dont. No greys.

How many things i care about is directly linked to how i feel atm (in other words, how much energy i have to spare). Right now i dont care about much of anything at all ;)

I have this attitude about most things. I do care about myself, my family and my cats. Other than that not much.

I wish I didn't care about anything! I get extremely anxious and worried about most things.

I can't have an "I don't care about anything" attitude because I have too much stuff I have to do.

i care about some things - my obsessions, for instance. I find it hard to care about petty crap like politics, fashion and music/movie stars.

This is me. I am into music though...the tune first then I pay attention to the lyrics. If I like the song and can relate to the lyrics then I add to my list of songs I like. I don't care who sings it though. Most songs I really like I don't know who sings them. That part of it doesn't interest me, it's just all about the song.

So if it's an obsessive interest then I care about it, I care about my family. Then there are the things I'm forced to care about, like a job and stupid bills. But I could easily fall into a rut and not care about those things so it's something I have to watch. Politics, fashion and celebrities, I don't care. I think too, as a woman, I don't care about things most women do, mainly NT women. Like attracting a man, affection, romance, shopping, chatting, gossip, feeling pretty and all the other stuff women are into, I just don't care about. I have too much of a male mind for that. If a song came out called "I Should Have a Man", that would be my song. Lol. Don't think that'll ever happen though.

O so true dude.

I've come around to the phrase "Know thyself" and am quite content with letting myself be, rather than conforming. Wearing flannel in the summer, yes, that is me, screw you too.

I do care a lot about what others think as I am used to watching others to see if I am doing the right thing. But to try and lower stress I have tried to put on a mask of such, often it might be just ignoreing things, and thinking of things with a more positive frame of mind. Though I often do fall through the cracks and see that others are upset by something, or they are having a hard time and I can revert back easily.
