It's not a question of reality existing or not, it's a question of what part of reality can you know, understand and deal with. Each of us takes in whatever sense data we can gather and each of us creates our own reality out of it. There is enough congruence of each of our created realities so that we can cooperate and manage our existences fairly well but when we get into the fine intricacies of each individual creation of reality we find differences. Some can be resolved and some cannot.
I disagree on one thing - there are plenty of steady and persistent facts, for instance regarding the mechanics of human nature, that could be either accepted by everyone, denied by everyone, you could have a mix of both, and regardless of any of that - they are still very real, very constant, and it just becomes far more dangerous when people hide from those facts; as in people make extremely stupid choices in life when they don't understand the reasons for their own actions or the actions of others. That's what tends to make the world a worse place. Sure, psychopaths can have clarity, and they can choose to manipulate the world for the worse, that's another case in and of itself. All of this is why I would implore people to really seek truth and leave their emotional baggage out of it; I think most people would reach the same exact or at least roughly the same conclusions if people in fact put enough effort into actually having clarity.
I do agree though, the laws of physics are constant, the laws of matter are constant (and any inconsistencies in either that or physics are anomalies that we just don't have the mechanics of figured out yet - even inconsistency is consistent). The problem is, the human mind is *badly* broken and bent, enough that people can convince themselves of anything if they want to and unfortunately, do to our animal urges, its very difficult not to be full of s---; some people try to take the high road, many don't, and for even those who do - they aren't perfect either. On the other hand the world still turns, the sun still rises every morning, because as you mentioned regarding the world and our care for the environment; the world could care less about us, we care about it because we care about having a hospitable climate, having the planet Earth suddenly turn into Venus wouldn't be a problem for the earth itself, it would just be a huge problem for our own survival.
