I am curious if you care about how thin you are? And do you think caring about body image is an NT trait?

The only time I care about how thin I am if if I get too fat and it makes my pants too tight and thus not comfortable, or if my breasts get too big and my bra becomes painful. For me it's more about my clothes fitting comfortably and me not needing to go clothes shopping to buy bigger clothes (especially bras). I really don't notice that I care too much about my own body image, by the way it looks, more by the way clothes feel on it. I kinda like being on the chubbier side. I'm just under 5' tall and I weigh around 115-120lbs.....ideally I should weigh around 100-105lbs, but that extra 15lbs doesn't look bad, so far as I know, or should I say care.....

I care about the fat I seem to be accumulating around my tummy as I hurtle towards my 30th birthday. It's under control at the moment, as I have attained a fairly constant weight, but I still don't like the fact that I'm getting rather pudgy around my middle as time passes.

I'm actually pretty comfortable with my weight - I'm 5'3" and about 130 lbs, as far as I know, not overweight at all. However, I do wish I could be thinner, maybe 10 lbs skinnier. I really don't like my stomach (I have wide hips as well). I can wear the right clothes to remedy this problem, but the extra flab there bothers me - it feels like a hassle to carry around, and I'm pretty petite otherwise, but if I could lose weight there it would be awesome.

Not really, but I'd like to tone up my muscles a little bit. I'm slightly overweight, and it doesn't bother me.

I despair when people moan about being 15 or so lbs above the so-called "ideal". A little extra weight never harmed anyone, especially not women.

am do not care how thin or fat,
though people often think am on a diet to get thin or have an eating disorder when they hear am eat very little solid stuff and can go without food for days and need a lot of supplement milkshakes [complan],it's a sensory issue,am still overweight due to being housebound and a greedy b.........d for the things am like.

I'm happy with my weight for the most part -- I don't even own a scale. I do worry sometimes about being a little too thin, and I would like to tone up my abs. I sang in a choir for many years and developed them too much, and since they've gone flabby they make me look like I have a pot belly.

NTs do worry too much about their weight, but a lot of that has to do with the media promoting the idea that skeletal anorexic models are the ideal beauty.

Not as much as doctors care about my weight, but yeah. I like to be in the lower end of my 10lb weight fluctuation cause I associate that with health, with my thyroid medication working properly.

I've been heavy, and I've been light. When pacing, light is better. But as far as the NT body image goes, somebody is buying a lot of exercise equipment.

I don't mind my appearance when I'm about 5, 10 pounds lighter, but even then that'd still be overweight, and I hate the feeling of the fat folds, that at times I want to claw it out. I really enjoy being quick and agile, which is harder when overweight.

Actually, until my surgery two months ago where I had to have my gallbladder removed I always thought it would be nice to lose weight but didn't bother. I was 5'5" and somewhere between 135-145 pounds. However, I lost about ten or fifteen pounds. People remarked on my weight, sometimes noticing that I didn't need to lose weight but sometimes just saying "you lost weight." It was scary in a way, and I'm glad to be gaining my normal weight back. I realized now that having a little bit of weight can be good insurance for when you're ill, and I'd rather be fat than fall to the temptation of continuing to lose weight.

I used to perpetually be tiny no matter what. I am, and have been since middle school, just average. Because my looks have always been an issue with other people even I was a twig for different reasons, I've learned not to care about it beyond being hygienic. Health-wise, I'm not in any danger, as I don't drive and therefore do a bunch of walking, not to mention the fact that I barely get enough food in me when I'm away at school anyways because of my food issues. Worrying about what size pants I fit into at this point would only be sensible (if you can even call it that) if I were one of those people who have the mentality that being over 100 pounds means that no one will ever like me. I have better things to worry about.

Due to all the medication I take, I have gained a substantial amount of weight that I can't seem to lose, even though I love to go outside and run. I'm 5'4" and I weigh 180 lbs. I like to think I'm happy with my weight, but deep down I feel very self-conscious; like everyone who sees me out in public must think I'm very fat. :(

I used to care a lot about losing weight, but I've learned how to live with being chubby.

NT trait?

There are eating disorders out there because people think they are fat even though they are not. I do not know if people with eating disorders are considered NT because it's a mental illness.

I do care how I look. Sometimes I still feel I am fat even though I am not. I have gotten thinner since I have moved here but my weight is still the same. I also worry about my weight and if I gained too much, I will not eat. But I am eating more food now than I did last year so it's all good now. My boyfriend has noticed I have more color in my skin.
My doctors say my natural weight is 140 but I weigh less than that and want to keep it that way. :D
