I had a few dolls as a child but they were no where near as creepy as the dolls in this thread.

Yes they can be scarey if a person is as paranoid as me, or more so. We had a couple of pottery dolls, one baby doll that peed, and the rest were Barbies. I never felt nervous about them because part of my mind was always dark.

The only scary thing I experienced with dolls was that I expect to want, enjoy and play with them when I was given them instead of the trucks and transformers I asked for. And all for the ridiculous reason that I was phsyically a girl

Hodor - that centipede thing is SO COOL.

I think old dolls, the porcelain kind, are scary and cool at the same time. The older and more worn, the better. I think it's that they're human, but not, at the same time - the same reason masks (certain ones anyway) and storefront mannequins are also creepy. But dolls are fake children, usually, which is double creepy. Bits of them are even creepier - I have a bunch of porcelain doll hands I found at a boot fair.

I hated the actual playing with dolls bit as a child. Faffing about with their hair and stuff bored me to tears.

Most of those dolls try to hard, the scariest ones are like regular dolls that have slightly creepy expressions such that you can't tell if you could trust them or not if they were real.

This doll here wards off any evil and malicious attempt creepy dolls have to use against me.

Say hello to mah voodoo doll!!

A game called the 7th Guest really scared me out when I was younger. Something about trapping a kid's soul in a really creepy doll...

Yes when I was little, staying over at Grandmas house, I was put in the doll room, dozens of them starying at me, moonlight reflecting off their eyes.

Dolls make me uncomfortable the same way monkeys do. They are almost like people, but not quite. They just give me the creeps.
