I think someone mentioned Thumbsucker already, but it's amazing and I definitely identify with it.

The Truman Show - because I feel like someone somewhere is just running the show and I ain't got any control over it at all.

Groundhog Day - because I seem to suffer the same-old-same-old everyday, though in my case I don't get much more skilled at dealing with it.

I surprised The Matrix hasn't come up. I often feel like I'm living in some artificial reality that has no bearing on the true me at all.

i wished i never watched the truman show, that sh*t made me paraniod as hell

Just saw Bicentennial Man for the first time yesterday. My wife was seeing all aspects of my quirky behaviour in the robot.

Made me blub when he wanted to be human - that's what I feel like sometimes and I find myself desperately praying to have a "normal" life (whatever that is :? ).

Mirrormask. It makes as much sense to me as reality does

I identify a little bit with the Ed Norton character in Death to Smoochy. I think people see me as a threat, but not because I intend to threaten anyone...

I loved that movie on so many levels!

I really like Darren Arronovsky films- (although I probably spelled his name wrong)- "Pi", "The Fountain". I think I like his mix of interesting pictures, great music and mystical elements.

Another film I really like is "Amadeus".

I also wonder: am I the only person in their 40s who still watches "The Wizard of Oz" regularly? I think I almost know it by heart by now. I can even imitate the voices quite well, I do a fabulous wicked Witch of the West imitation...

Ghost World, Lost In Translation, The Chumscrubber, and Zero Day(I see a lot of myself in Andre, which probably isn't good).

Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Roy Neary's obsessive sculpting of Devil's Tower in everything from shaving cream to mashed potatoes reminds me of the obsessive way in which I have to explore things that interest me, even if I draw unwanted attention to myself by doing so. And I've had several "A-ha" moments like the one Neary has when he recognizes the shape as Devil's Tower - for instance, there's an instrumental passage in "Blinded By the Light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band that used to send shivers down my spine, and it took me years to realize that it was because it reminded me of the theme song from "The Jetsons", a show I was obsessed with as a kid!

Oh! Office space!

I remember dragging friends (litteraly) to the cinema to see it :D It was one of those "lets remember all the lines from the movie"-movie :)

It also left a mark in my life, i was working as a network tech within the municipality and i really started to think about what i wanted to do with my life instead of having someone else dictate it for me.

Around 2 months later, i quit!

Mulan
Rain Man (It may be cliché but damn some scenes made me feel a deja vu)
Halloween
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Friday the 13th
....

I mostly identify with outcasts and abominations
because I do feel like I'm one.

I think there are many but particuarly I felt at first, and still do, connections with Rain Man, Snow Cake and kind of Gilbert Grape because I can see aspects of myself in the autistic characters. I tend to have obsessions over films rather than connections as such.

Babe - I'm someone who wants to feel I have a purpose even though in reality I really don't
