I went to a new school for my Senior Year of high school. I met the school psychologist and she gave me a packet of resources for students with Asperger's. This website was listed, and I thought it would be great. I was originally diagnosed with autism when I was three years old. I would talk only a little bit. The rest of the time, I would be obsessed with legos, tapping on things, or rubbing my hair on the carpet (I liked the static).

So, thirteen years after my original diagnosis, I displayed more symptoms similar to Aspergers. So, I was rediagnosed. I love software, robotics, and physics. I'm very sensitive to sound and touch. I can feel vibrations in my fingertips when people talk. I can only recognize people by their voice frequency instead of their face. I learn about neurotpyicals based on the frequency patterns they talk with. I can almost always predict what sentence they'll say next. Aspies are more difficult to decipher.

I want to be a common poster here. I really appreicate this website. It is a place I feel I can truly express myself.

Sounds like your on the "right" planet welcome.

If only we were understood and allowed - through pressure of conformity, there is freedom of choice, but nothing to choose from.

Welcome! I am new as of this morning too! I get that feelings with my fingertips as well, this is all so interesting to me...its the worst when I'm holding a bottle of water or a gatorade, sometimes it actually causes me to drop it which is a bit embarassing, so everything is always sealed now :)
