I have been using the wrongplanet chat for years and only recently found my IP banned from the chat, with no reason given.
This I believe was primarily because I was trying to vent some of my angst about having Asperger's and being unable to make friends in college as a result. Supposedly the individual who banned me found himself upset by my choice of phrasing in making this statement and decided to ban me.
The individual who banned me has repeatedly attempted to troll and flame me, largely due to the cronyism, favouritism and high school mentality that seems define the hierarchy of the wrongplanet chatroom combined with the highly irrational level of emotionality that seems to guide many of the moderators' decisions. This sort of thing is nothing more than sickening, and the fact that I personally was affected by it bothers me to an even greater extent.

You have in the past had a history of trolling and have been on the long term ban list before. You join the channel, and the first things I see is:

2008-09-14.log:17:05:13 <Yupa> It's amazing how gross ass burgers disease makes people
2008-09-14.log:17:05:15 <Yupa> I'm f*****g gross

that's a SURE way to get me to order the ban as soon as I see it. The issue was straightened out, and you were unbanned, but based on what I saw when I got several users PMing me alerting me to a troll, I consider the ban to have been justified with the information I had at the time.

First of all, I can't recall ever having been on the long-term ban list before, and secondly, as I said before, I was simply venting personal angst having to do with my diagnosis and trying to get issues concerning it straightened out.
I don't think looking for help and support is exactly "trolling," unless the definition of trolling here is somehow different than it is elsewhere?
After all the reason I'm here is to seek out inspiration and advice from those who've had similar experiences to myself or at the very least considered "different" from the majority in much the same way that I am.
I love how you took what I had to say entirely out of context.

Venting is one thing, and it is healthy - but the manner in which you spoke, in an arena for those afflicted, is rather offensive, regardless of context.
