I was in a pub recently on holiday and there were two men who seemed interested in me. One of them started a conversation with me by asking what I did. The trouble is that I started talking far too much about my interests and this obviously scared him off! Would appreciate tips on how to avoid doing this in future.

try to ask him questions, instead. i was told that men love talking about themselves

Were you lecturing the guys, or just keeping the conversation on a topic that they weren't interested in?
