why do politcal comercials take sound bytes and pose to the public as if that is the begiining, end and all a canidate has on a subject?

Because a lot of people hear this guy did x and believe it. They don't bother to research it. Politics has become who can tell the most convincing lies.

I've heard so many bits and peices of candidate statements they both worry me, frankly. Since the last debate, they both scare the crap out of me.
