Hi,

I am 24 and was diagnosed with AS a few months ago after my mum heard about it, did some reading and seemed to think it sounded a lot like me and suggested it might be the reason I've had some difficulty with certain things throughout my life. Things have been pretty crazy ever since, I think I'm having a hard time getting my head around it. I still don't think I've come to terms with it really as sometimes I think I don't really have it and sometimes I'm positive that I do. Is this normal?

I won't bore you with any personal info as I'm an extremely boring person! Besides, if there's anything anybody wants to know, just ask.

Greetings!

I think what you're going through is very normal...healthy actually.

I'm new too but haven't been officialy diagnosed.
Like you, sometime it's an absolute certainty I'm AS or HFA, other times I'm not sure at all.
I'm a mess.

Thank you for your reassurance. I've just read your thread in this section of the forums and you sound exactly like me!

Welcome to the board!

I'm boring too but that doesn't stop me.

Seriously, do you have any hobbies or interests? Are you in school or the workplace or both?

When I was younger I used to go through obsessions at a steady rate until one day I discovered computers! We have been inseparable ever since I'm afraid. I'm at University at the moment and I'm sure you can guess what I'm studying.

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

I've been through a string of obsessions until I've read about Swingning London and Carnaby Street, 12 years ago. Austin Powers has insensified my obsession with the British 60s, eight years ago.
