Though Connery is definitely the best, i'm going to say Daniel Craig. He makes Bond more human, more of a ferocious pitbull fighter and less of a cliche, especially his tragic romance with Vesper Lynd.

Dalton's bond always seemed closest to the books, through moving them forward 30 years is always a dicey proposition.

Daniel Craig....I'll wait until there's another bond before I comment on him. Even in that.....hidious child of a 60s movie (Quantum), he was good (the directing was awful). Casino Royale was great acting, and I want to watch Skyfall again before I comment further.
