Note that extreme circumstances (rape\incest\etc) are never going to be outlawed and should not influence your poll decision. This poll is about using abortion for terminating high-risk pregnancies, and for after-the-fact birth control.

Just a quickie with more complex answers to gauge WP.

People should be able to do whatever they want with their own bodies just as long as they don't force it upon another.

Which begs the prime argument of pro-lifers, at what point does a fetus become "another", which is why I make sure to include first-term abortions as separate from other terms.

I do not believe that,before it is born,the fetus is a person,which would make me pro-choice,though personally,if i got a girl pregnant (Not likely to happen ever,but you never know...) i'd do everything i can to keep her from getting a abortion,probably since's it has my blood in it.

It comes down to control over your own body.

I believe the choice to host another organism inside your body for 9 months, stretch your body out of shape, and then either receive a permanent scar or suffer extreme pain- isn't one that should be legislated.

Simple fact. Making abortion illegal does not stop it from happening. It pushes it into the back alley, with the coat hangar. I have a sister 16 years older then me (dad's first marriage) she was left permanently unable to bare children after a coat hangar abortion as a teen, just a few short years before Roe V. Wade.

I don't like the idea of abortion. I wouldn't want a woman that I got pregnant to abort the fetus. But my own personal beliefs on the issue don't matter.

It's about the right to make that moral choice on your own, and about keeping it safe and clean.

Until that fetus is able to survive outside the womb, it is a parasite organism.

It is one of the many big questions of our time. It is our duty to flog such things, least we sink into apathy.

Semantics; I'd rather not go there. Sometimes abortion's just a better option and should be there if one needs to utilize it.

I suppose as long as there are people undecided it's beneficial to both sides to make all their points again.

We need to get some more philosophical stuff going, or at least interesting politics.

I would say pro-choice legally, but pro-life in person. The government truly has no right to interfere with a woman's choice.

Ideally though, I wouldn't want women to be making the choice merely because of some inconvenience. If a woman could responsibly make the choice, such as the rape/incest/medical issues, or even for an issue like she wouldn't be able to properly support a child, then by all means she should be allowed. However, so many women would make the choice to abort merely because they think it an inconvenience. If the child isn't the perfect prodigy that the mother wanted, that's no reason to abort. God forbid if the child has autism... If the prenatal test for autism becomes available, women will abort autistic children as either a matter of inconvenience or because their doctors told them to, and the genocide of our race will be complete. That's why I'm ultimately pro-life...

Loaded as in many factors to consider? Yes, indeed. Things aren't as black and white as we'd hope.
