She was the icon of a generation, albeit one that after her time. @;}-

Boo, huffingtonpost is doo doo. It's for the liberal that couldn't get into college to get a journalist degree.

Otherwise, sad day I guess. She died at 85.

i thought she was dead 7 years ago and was always kinda surprised she was still alive.


not particularly sad, though...85 is a good, long life and for someone who achieved basically icon status with thousands of women emulating her and her fashion cues i'd say death is probably more "job well done" than sad...if that makes sense.

at least from a non-personally connected point of view.

i'm surprised she was still alive, tho. makes me wonder if there are any interesting later years bettie-page-style bettie page photos.

I never said that I was *sad* about it! Yes, 85 is decent lifespan, but I thought I mention her passing though as it is the loss of a rebel icon.
