At the moment, just two PC games.

Civilization 4
Immortal Cities : Children of the Nile

Seems a lot easier to manage entire cities (and civilizations) than to manage my own life

Right now, I am playing The Witcher. It's an RPG you can play alone. It's got great graphics. It's very repetitive and the game has a few bugs, so I've had to start parts of it over twice to compensate. I find this tedious, boring and addictive. I worry about myself.

Anything by Blizzard (Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo; in that order)
Anything Final Fantasy (VII is my favourite for storyline, V for gameplay. X is pretty high up there too, as is Kingdom Hearts)
Legend of Zelda (Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Link to the Past are my top 3 choices in that order)
Mario platformers (the original formula for success, not so much the endless legion of other genre games featuring Mario characters. Games like Super Mario World, 3, 64, and Galaxies)
Sonic The Hedgehog series (Sonic 3 and Knuckles is still my favourite, followed closely by Sonic Adventure 2)
There are tons more I've played over the years that are probably slipping my mind right now. Might add them here if they cross my mind.

Any RPG is worth my time to look at, particularly classic ones like Golden Sun, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, etc. I also enjoy RTS games and other strategy-based games as well as some adventure games. Games with unique concepts and ones that don't fit any particular genre are also ones I'm highly interested in.

Mostly RPGs, plateformers and action-adventure genres, i can handle strategy games but meh... I also dislike FPSs (except when there's a not so violent theme, such as Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath)

-Super Mario 64 (Best game of all-time! :D)
-MarioKart 64
-Super Mario 3
-Super Mario Land (first GameBoy game I ever owned)
-Mario Tennis (GameBoy Color version)

That's my list of top-ten. I love pretty much any Mario game (I've played and beaten all of the major ones) and any MarioKart game. I also love classic platform games in general. Crash Bandicoot and Sonic are other favorites of mine. Recently, I started playing the Lego Star Wars game for the Wii with one of my closest friends, and we've both fallen in love with it. I'd say that game is my favorite of games that I don't actually own.

I will always have a nostalgic soft-spot for the first Crash Bandicoot game, for it was the first game I owned. I don't think any of its sequels were as good as it was.

The first Duke Nukem game is one of my favourites and I played it excessively as a child on an old laptop I got from my auntie.

Civilization 3 became something of a fixation for me.

Metal Gear Solid could be my favourite of all time though. The second one was excellent but the first was better. At some point I'm going to play the third and the fourth and the older games in the series that came before it.

Diablo, Diablo II, Mafia, Civilization III...

Championship Manager 3 98/99, 2001/2002, Championship Manager 4 2002/2003, 2003/2004, Football Manager 2006, 2007, 2008. It's a real drug... Only tables of number, no 3D, first no 2D !

I don't play much any more, so all my favorites are old...

In sort of chronological order:
Ms Pacman (arcade)
Haunted House (Atari)
Tennis (Atari)
Asteroids (Atari)
Mario 1,2,3 (NES)
Kung Fu (NES)
Zelda 2 (NES)
Dr Mario (NES) - had a serious addiction to this so I try to never play it again
TMNT II: Arcade Game (NES)
Sonic 1 (Genesis)
Mortal Kombat (Genesis)
Super Mario World (SNES)
Street Fighter II Turbo (SNES)
Killer Instinct (SNES)
Link to the Past (SNES)
Mario 64 (N64)
Mario Tennis (N64)
Mario Golf (N64 & GC)

I never got into PC games even though many of them look great. I know I left out a bunch up there but those were the ones that popped in my head.

For me it's the Metal Gear Solid Series, the 4th one is just bloody awesome. Another fave would be the GTA series after it went 3D, I've been noticing a lot of people here don't like GTA IV, I disagree, for me it's the best one to date, they gave the main character a conscience, the story was far more serious than the older ones, the graphics were awesome, which is more than I can say for the older games which were atrocious even for the time, plus the shooting system was perfected, they added a cover system, the ability to call up Niko's friends to socialise was innovative, the in-game internet was humourous, the dating system was expanded from San Andreas, for me it was the most realistic game of the series and I'm DYING to find out what the next one is gonna be like. There are other faves of mine:

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (good blend of stealth and FPS)
LOTR: Battle for Middle-Earth I and II
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner (first one was pretty bland but this one was amazing, good mech game)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (the only RPG that I really like a lot)
Scarface: The World is Yours (good crime game, also captures the movie PERFECTLY)
The Suffering 1 and 2 (awesome survival horror, very original too)
Dead Space (another awesome survival horror)
Assassin's Creed (despite the fact it's repetitive I still like it)
Star Wars Battlefronts 1 and 2 (simply fun games to play, never gets boring for some reason)
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and The Two Thrones (didn't like the Sands of Time, haven't played the newest one yet)

The list could go on.
