I much prefer texting and e-mailing to phoning.

When parents call, it can get sometimes annoying. I am 31 and my parents always want to check on me. I have complete freedom in my life but the parents still want to do what parent do.

I can't stand talking on the phone. I really don't understand why someone wants to call, if there is no purpose behind it, such as they need a favor, or specific advice, etc. As a matter of fact, everyone who attempts to call me, informs me I am impossible to get a hold of. I listen to the voicemail, tell myself I will call later, think about what I am going to say, procrastinate for a while, and finally just forget about it.

It used to, but I've been alone so much lately I'd love a call from a friend.

Wow, it's so great to find out that other people dislike using the phone!

I've always disliked and avoided using the phone and it drives my husband nuts. I was given to understand that people with ASDs love the phone because it bypasses the need to read other people's facial responses, so it's nice to hear that others feel the way I do.
