The fresh corn from the US's Nebraska popped with butters.

Careful tho!! ! Yeiks. My friend, Dan, was quite proper to tell me to not smell the new steam. I then found a blast of superheated air to quite singe the inner nose! Singe, Dan, why not I listen!?! And a 'Yow' to boot. But then it does indeed read 'be careful' on the outside.

The popping of the corn. Like the "thrill of the grass", baseball.

But sound of the popping, whoa!, super intense, like a jack hammer in the cranium! Or like corn popping in the cranium!

The popped corn. Feels like chalk a little. Eerie!

Crunching chalk in your mouth. Grinding it, chomping with your teeth. Crack!

A food not suitable for sensory sensitivity?

I do love popcorn. Today is the age of microwave popcorn, and you do have to watch that steam. When I was little, the microwave wasn't a common item. The way Mom made it was the JiffyPop packets that look like an aluminum foil miniature skillet. You placed it on a hot burner on the range and moved it around back and forth on the burner until the kernels started popping. Then the foil on top began expanding upward as the popcorn filled the interior. When you got done, the foil was expanded so far outward that it looked like it were ready to burst. Then you took that very hot pan off the range, tore open the foil, and engorged. But...once I touched the bottom of that pan and ouch!! ! I burned myself and got a few blisters on my fingers. But I still loved that type of popcorn.

Psh, we make ours in a stove-top popcorn kettle. lol

Put popcorn into the kettle, add oil, turn burner on and crank the puppy for five minutes. The thing is probably the most efficient popcorn popper I've ever seen - not a single unpopped kernel every time.

Mmmmmmm I love popcorn.

I have never realy been a fan of popcorn, one of the things that confuse me the most is how people are always on about how popcorn is good for watching a movie with, realy I dont see why, I much rather have chips. Though I did have some rather nice caramel popcorn the other day.

It's probly just traditional. *shrug*

I do eat popcorn when watching a movie, though. Any excuse to eat popcorn is appreciated. Also, its nice and warm which is more comforting than chips IMO.

Wupum's if you can't hear the movie through the corn?

Chips! Never. Naavaa! I couldn't hear my own parrot screaming in my ear 5 inches away through the chips! Neva!
