What is your first name? Elizabeth

Age: 33

Location: Oregon

Hobbies and Interests: There are so many but here are some: Organic gardening, almost all sports (playing not watching) my latest favorite is rock climbing, cooking, reading,

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): 2 days ago

Favorite subjects:

Year/Grade: Lots of college/no degree

Favorite music: Depends on my mood, mostly goth/industrial, trance, acid jazz. Lately I have been into the new album by Empire of the Sun-Walking on a Dream and POE. I really don't care for country, speed metal, or hardcore rap.

Books: Recent reads: The Egg and I, Dune-books 1-3 (again), The Innocent Man by John Grisham

TV shows/Movies: I don't own a tv anymore, but I still watch SouthPark via www . Movies, I love movies and I can and have watched many over and over. My collection is mostly animation, comedy, fantasy/sci-fi and thriller/mystery. Some are: Fifth Element, Dune, The Matrix, Silence of the Lambs, Monty Python, Space Balls, Princess Bride, Shrek

Do you like sports? Playing-yes...watching-mostly no, though Basketball is worthy

Clothing: I do tend to wear the same thing for about 3 days unless I have to go into town then I change because I don't want to seem weird. I do however like to wear nice and fashionable clothing and jewelry.

How did you find this website? through aspergers dot com

Job: Currently I am a domestic engineer, but I was an accounting clerk for 12 yrs

Plans for the future? owning my own business

Any comments? I am very happy to have found out about asperger's and this community. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of me and that I am not alone anymore.

Welcome home, Elizabeth. I live in Oregon, too! The best therapy for Asperger's Syndrome for adults is WrongPlanet.net. (at least it was for me)

Thank you all for welcoming me.

It has been quite a relief to learn that I am not alone, but at the same time I am still dealing with the fact that I have a disorder after 33 years of knowing there is something about you that is not the same as "normal" people but not once thinking you actually have a disorder that is not repairable. I hope to get to know some of you and discuss these issues as well as others that we all seem to have and hopefully form some lasting friendships.

Sincerely,
E

Welcome to the community. I hope you get as much out of this place as I have. A truly wonderful experience to be here for me.

J.

Hello!

Yes. I take great pride, too, in being a Leo/Rabbit. I have found that the astrological definitions of both fit me pretty well. I have five tattoos and 2 of them are related to my sign. I have a Lion's head and a sun on my back and I plan on getting a Ram's head somewhere on my body, thinking maybe my foot. The Ram's head is for my son, who is an Aries.

Thank you, I just realized I am a Scorpio/Tiger. (and with an Aries moon!)

Welcome to WP, Elizabeth!

You like POE (Ann Danielewski)? Haunted is one of my favorite albums!
