Theory on why nice guys may finish last...

I think we are shy. Plain and simple. Rejection hurts us more for whatever reason and we give up sooner thus leading to less dates and what not. While jerks probably are sleeping with more women, it's probably because they try more often. Hell, the Pick up artist community members often say their "success rate" is merely 10% if not less. But anyway, my theory is just that...the jerks try much more often. I personally only ask out about 2 females a year and the first and only time so far when I was blunt to a woman's face about wanting to have sex with her was after my 21st birthday. But anyway, sometimes, I believe the nice guy's finish last thing is BS for reasons I stated above. Hell, if we'd just try, our success rate would probably be even better than 10%. That's my take anyway.

Sometimes messages can end up being posted multiple times if the Internet connection is slow or sluggish or unresponsive, leading the poster to try posting again. If a connection is unresponsive, the poster may not have thought the post was submitted several times.

I've done that when WP is having one of it's 'be back in 2-3 minutes' things. But 4 or 5 is a bit much

You are absolutely right. The nice/guy jerk thing is a smoke screen. Who actually knows they are a "nice guy"? If you think you are nice guy, it doesn't actually make you a nice guy.

I am shy in this area, but I don't think I am nice. I try to be nice sometimes but I also don't want to be a push over either, or just do it for the sake of appearing nice.

Tell me what makes someone a "nice guy", then we'll talk.

At this point, I no longer care what kind of guys women want. All I know is that I'd have to become someone I'm not if I wanted a girlfriend. And even then, I wouldn't be happy. I'd rather continue being alone than conform to some stupid caricature.

I ask out or talk to women (short for reasonably attractive, potentially single women between roughly 20 and 25) whenever the opportunity arises, which actually isn't too often in my day-to-day routine, and I've asked out many more online, but I've only ever gone on one date.
