Is it ok for an 18 year old male to like talking, spending time with, 13 year old girls? And flirting with them?

Would you be scared if one of your friends did this?

Frodo,

In just about every society on Earth, this is a HUGE no-no. Girls just beginning to mature into young women are extremely impressionable and vulnerable, and there are always at least some older males that are predatory and will take advantage of these girls. It's been this way through all of time. In response, society has evolved to vigourously protect young girls. It is a criminal offence in most jurisdictions to take this flirtation to the point of "acting on it". Just the flirtation itself will inevitably draw a strong reaction from the adult male "protectors", most likely involving serious violence. It will not end well.

I understand that some chronologically adult people, autistic and otherwise, are socially "on par" with children or teenagers and therefore prefer their company and do interact naturally. Unfortunately, adult males especially can be prone to progress to socially inappropriate behaviour - usually their bodies have adult endocronology even if parts of the brain haven't quite caught up. Consorting with minors isn't exactly encouraged for women, but it is not viewed nearly as unfavourably by society. With the threat of predation virtually nil, these relationships are usually tolerated, cautiously at first, and can be of tremendous benefit to both the woman and the girl.

Unless your friend's protectors (consider that to be every male in her family, and her teachers) personally know you and are TOTALLY CERTAIN that you have no romantic or physical interest in her, expect your relationship to be forcefully resisted. Flirting certainly is not a good idea here.

Society will always put its children's needs above any non-conforming individual's.

Perhaps you should try talking to child-at-heart chronologically adult women instead. They're out there. Lots of them. Around here, you won't even have to look all that far. I'm confident that this will be much healthier for you as well as for the women you meet.

Good luck to you.

Society dosent like this at the moment which I actually think is stupid but society is.

But, ya know what, do it anyway! If you are both comfortable with it then it's fine, just dont tell people because they will get the wrong idea.

I don't believe frodosam actually claimed to be an 18 year old male who spends time with 13 year old girls. And flirts with them.
And one of my friends had a gf in year 8 when he was in year 11. Man he got alot of s**t about that. Espeacially from his friends and myself. But yeah most of it was just taking the piss. If he were 18 and she were 13 I would genuienly be worried.

Correct. I am worried about one of my friends, who coincedentally is also an Aspie. I'm not the only person worried about him, but we don't know what to say or whether we are overreacting.

To me it sounds stupid but if you really want to do it then go ahead.

Just leave him alone, like I said if him and the girls are fine with it then it's not hurting anyone, is it?

Just make sure he doesn't transform into some dodgy sex affender. If he has AS then he'd make the rest of us look bad... also his actions may ruin his life and psychologically scar a 13 year old female :?

Sounds dangerous. You'll creep them out and if the wrong adult finds out you'll find yourself in jail.

Thanks. I think he likes younger girls because they accept him more than girls his own age.

Well, that doesn't sound too bad. But flirting seems a bit far.

I think maybe you should talk to your friend, tell him he needs to cool it down with the girls. What if one of the girls agreed to take it too far? Then your friend would be in jail. Too dangerous. He need to find older girls whether he can relate to them or not.
