The OP seems to think that autistics view NTs as stupid. The OP is saying this is our biggest flaw.

I AM superior to EVERYONE though, noone is exempt from my superiority. I can... oooh cookies!! !! !! !! Anyways where was I...

That is about as far as I could go with calling someone stupid... I cannot say someone is inferior to me, we are equally inferior and superior to each other. I believe that there is a set number of points given to each person, and that those points are divided amoungst all our attributes, and for each person these are divided different, so basicly we are all equal but different. The interesting thing would be to figure out which gender takes more points for its existence.

It is said "Who is wise? The one that learns from every person." (Pirkei Avos 4:1)

Likewise:
"Who is strong? The one who overcomes their evil inclination.
Who is rich? The one who appreciates what they have.
Who is honored? The one who gives honor to others."

These are principles that we can all improve our lives with.

I understand what you're saying. You're using the Socratic method from Socrates which says that I know nothing and that I am ignorant and I know that I am ignorant. What this really means is that I do not know anything with 100% absolute certainty and nobody does. This means you have to be prepared to be wrong in anything you say in your arguments because you might some premises in your argument and one extra premise to an argument can change the whole conclusion.

And my main flaw is the fact that I too often just do not understand that the NTs are not always keen regarding a clear investigation of what we really know or of what we just think we know. In my case this caused over years endless trouble with friends, colleagues, bosses and my partner.

It is even so that they see too such an investigation as a direct personal assault.

Ditto, Dussel!

I SO want to get to the bottom of things. I SO want all to be cleared up. It is the only way true peace can reign. My reward for my scientific passion is pure pain, and doubting my sanity as I watch everyone around me sputter meaningless irresponsible ritualistic nonsense apparently designed to maintain a constant state of inane conspiracy. I can barely even begin to speak to anyone anymore.

Funny, I was doubting my sanity last night after doing 12 hours of homework.

Like I said. We're mostly stupid but not worthless.

This sounds more like a special case of a broader theory of mind or empathy issue that people with AS may have. And then, what causes that? Who knows.

I often think that a lot of my problems can be attributed to my processing issues - I have trouble taking in what people say and do in real time, it's all too fast and I often miss details that other people don't seem to. But when I mention them here it seems that some people don't have audio processing issues, so I don't know.

My frustration with people (I don't even know if it's NTs anymore - there seems to be a general trend of this everywhere) is not only a lack of self-examination and curiosity, but a rejection of it in other people. No one much thinks to ask the important questions, and someone who does is treated as being wrong for not just going along and doing things regardless of whether they're right, necessary, efficient, etc. Other people see curiosity as insolence or thinking too hard. I see it as the way to improve on often quite imperfect situations.

Maybe stupid isn't the right word, as many people COULD be brilliant if they put all their effort into it. More like many people are thoughtless, complacent and intellectually lazy.

I used to think I was the smartest person in the world... and everyone else was an idiot...

now i still think everyone else is an idiot, but I'm an idiot too...

I guess it's something you grow out of...

You've been telling me you were a genius ever since you were seventeen,
And after all the years I've known you I still don't know what you mean
The weekends at the college didn't turn out like you planned,
The things that pass for knowledge I can't understand

Whoever said I'm an NT? I may not be aspie but I sure as hell am not an NT. People on this site make everyone here look bad. You guys don't think people can read what you post or what? 90% of you people talk about NT's like they are the devil. When in reality they serve your food, cure your illnesseses, etc...

It is human nature to think your better than everyone else or the majority around you because by using that thinking you don't feel insecure because when you accept others are better than you at some things insecurities start to develop. So remember its not an autistic thing its a human thing given a chance pretty much everyone will put themselves above others.

Personally, I think the Aspie need to be intellectually superior to everyone else, and inform them of that fact, stems from our overall belief that we've so little else going for us (so far as traits society considers 'desirable'), so we might as well play up what we've got. Was actually discussing this at length with another Aspie last week.

Of course, this could just be me overusing my rusty old psych degree....

I don't see how this is exclusively connected to autism. Wait, let me rephrase this: It just isn't.

It's a trait that's common to those 6.75 billion humans.

If you have a sneaky talent to listen to people most of the time, you'll know that everyone thinks they're better than certain groups of other people. Identify and form a personal hack order and the use of comparison as a tool to build false self-esteem. Mostly, these groups that are thought of as 'less than us' are largely unidentified and the many exclamations a person does in life are based on parts of stereotypical prejudices rather than actual reality.

I've noticed this too but I think it is similar to when women talk about how horrible men are when they have a husband or boyfriend and clearly don't hate men in reality.

If you look most serious posturing comes from a relatively small number of posters who are very vocal. Most people I'm sure are very aware that they are dependant on NT society to support them.
