Most of us might remember the Wendy's incident where a lady supposedly found a finger in her chili, but turned out to be an attempt at a fraudulent lawsuit.

What kinds of crappy things have honestly happened to you? (Obviously not something as severe as a finger in your chili...)

One day at work, I bought a can of Rockstar energy drink, and after opening it I had realized that there was a chewed wad of gum inside the can before being opened. 8O

In highschool my Mum used to buy these frozen burritos that you could warm up in the microwave and eat. I took one out of the box, put it in the microwave, and then when I went to eat it I felt something odd in my mouth. It was half of a catepillar. That thing was HUGE! The other half was in the rest of the burrito and it turns out it was straight from mexico. I've never seen anything like it. Also, I've never had a burrito since. I love tacos, but not burritos. It makes me shudder. Ick.

^ :eew:

I was at my sisters once and she found two maggots in her instant rice! Rice looks like maggots anyhow, but imagine the shock when we found actual maggots in the bag! :eew: True story.

Not maggots. Look up "Indian Meal Moths." They feed off of things like that. She probably had little brown moths flying around her house in the evening too. I got them after bringing home a huge bag of flour for baking and they're a pain in the ass to get rid of. Ugh. I hate them.

^I don't know, they were in those instant bags that are already filled with rice. The black head gave them away. :eew: :eew: :eew:

Now, I am very careful when having rice for dinner.

Maybe a few eyelashes, nothing more.

(here in NJ we have strict laws mandating that our food bears no resemblance to our state)

Exactly. That's what they're like. They feed off of grain products. Once you have them, they're hard to get rid of, but they're really common.

What about that woman in New Mexico who sued McDonald's after the coffee spilled onto her lap.

I can tell you some of the things I may have DONE to food...

Rule of thumb: Don't be a d**k to the guy making your food. At least get the food first...

The worst thing I've ever gotten was WAY rotten 'fresh' food. Oh, and bugs in our garden veggies. I now slice EVERY single fruit and veggie I get.

My long hair in my families dinners is a common occurance( and icky one for those that have to pull it out of their mouth after taking a bite of dinner that contained it.

another thing was when I bought a can of spinach for a recipe and I tossed a piece in my mouth, then looked down in the can and noticed a dead bug(turns out to be a large bee) that was cooked in the can during processiing. I haven't eating canned spinach since then.
