It's not a rarity around here. I'm AS/ADHD/asexual. Most Aspies are straight but there's more of us that aren't than you'll find among average people.

I'm not a homosexual (not including the kinsey scale) nor do I have ADHD (that I know of).

However, I am also a member of Anonymous. Soup /b/ :P

I've got AS and mild ADHD, and although I'm straight, it doesn't matter since I don't "get any" anyway, so I maybe can appreciate your problems up to and including wooing.

It's a sexual orientation (or lack thereof) where you don't feel attracted to either males or females. So basically a lack of any sexual attraction.

I'm an asexual Aspie. Means celibate, no sex, none, nada. Orientation straight but never any sex. Just the thought for me is disgusting and kicks off my autistic GI nausea. Was married for over 19 years, no sex. Also practice a type of yoga that teaches sex is detrimental to the spiritual life, opposite energy than that in meditation.

My (ex) husband had a severe mid-life crisis and ran off with a crazy married woman with kids.

My boss' husband of 29 years committed suicide.

Some aspects of the autism got so bad I was seriously ill and in danger of dying daily. My boss with whom I bought a house for the biz of 24/7 caregiving got a memo stating that those who entered domestic partnerships could get benefits. Since she's a Director her "spouse" gets free healthcare benefits. So we became domestic partners the 1st day it was possible so I could try to survive.

Been a year, still working on trying to get appropriate medical help. Not easy for an adult on the spectrum. Gotten just enough to be alive.

No ADHD.

The world's preoccupation with sex sex sex all the time, and the unbelievable damage and destruction it causes, is so bizarre. I thank God every day that He made me autistic enough to never be interested in sex and in fact to be naturally repulsed by it which has saved me untold grief in this lifetime. One of the great benefits of being wired different!

You sound like me. Except the reason why I don't get any is because I'm married.

I'm not gay, you could call me straight, I am not asexual. I will not touch another guy simply because I want to have children of my own that are not adopted. I don't mind the idea of adopting some, as long as I have at least 1 of my own flesh and blood.
