you just dont get it.
nobody, not me, not anybody, is trying to convince you that china is "nice".
it still doesnt mean usa has the right to attack.
THAT is what you need to get through your skull. forget about america's little vacation into insania, with your president bush, its NOT NORMAL to attack around, w the intentions to "make it better" for other countries.
i know about the torture, i dont care. usa cannot and will not attack china, and i can SWEAR to you, american politicians does not care about the torture either, cus they allowed americans to do the same w detainees at guantanamo and other bases, such as in central asia.
the world isnt some exciting cartoon, where captain america lifts the bad guy, and throws him into the slammer.
you need to wake up to the real world. the information you posted isnt a surprise to anyone who knows about china, its all old news. the arguments given to you, against a war with china, were given to you WITH the knowledge of the torture and the death and all that. because theyre unrelated.
*sigh..*

Never met anyone except one other guy, full of so much misinformation. To you, it seems there is never a justification to remove any government, except the USA. Which means, you are not a rational thinker. Are you sure you are Aspie, and not just Passive Aggressive?
People oppose going to war with China because they think it would cost a great of lives and hurt the USA more than we would gain. Not because there is never a reason to remove a government.
And you are wrong about the USA coming in at the last minute. We were there for 4 years. And without the USA, you would not have defeated Germany, twice. Russia only was able to advance because the USA delayed movement to cost Russian lives of that of American, because it knew Russia would be a our next victim.
You must be totally ignorant of the Cold War. And you must be young to think that WWII was that long ago. You know, we are still paying for it, and millions of people that fought for it are still alive and walking around.
A little off topic but while I DO believe in freedom and inalienable rights for Me personally, I honestly Do Not want freedom for others. This is particularly true of other Americans since I live in the United States. I also think that religious fundamentalists should be put int mental institutions but unfortunately the US constitution doesnt allow that. ![]()
Just because it isn't allowed in the US constitution doesn't mean it wouldn't happen.
IdahoAspie, I absolutely despise China's immoral government. I just happen to think that we have no business telling another sovereign nation that is not beholden to us what they can and cannot do. World-policing is not the job of the United States. And even if it is, there are far, far worse places in the world to live than China.

China is a communist country. That's why they call it The Communist Party of China, that's where that came from.
They are not capitalistic, though they are a dictatorship. (Hong Kong is capitalist.)

Yet, they trade with everyone, has stocks and so on. And there are sweatshops. Really, they used to be communist but with some changes they have made they managed to become capitalist.
Gorbachev also introduced capitalistic thinking, but he also decreased political power, which the Chinese did not.
Really, China is communist in name only.

That is true, but many countries don't actually follow the system they claim to. Eg. America is a "democracy", but what about the 2001 election screw-up? Doesn't sound very democratic to me.

In some respect their trade had much less regulation than western countries. Hong Kong is not that different from china. They share some of the autocracy and also a similar attitude to trade. Make no mistake Hong Kong is part of China.
IdahoAspie you are really misguided, china has the biggest army, and biggest navy in the world. Just look at the history of US campaigns against well manned, well trained forces. In short it can’t win, it won’t win, they have known this since the 70s. Besides America can and has learnt from china. The protectionism that US applies, make it hypocrite whilst insisting other countries remain open. You can’t get more trade restriction than you do in western countries.
Just because something doesn’t meet your ideals, doesn’t mean your ideals aren’t idealistic in the first place. Capitalism is just as idealist as communism I am no fan of communism.
You are so misguided about the economic benefit of a campaign. A war has never got any country out of depression. It can put a country into depression. The great depression was in part brought on by WWI and undoubtedly sowed the seeds for the resentment that cause WWII. America didn’t join the war effort straight away, because it was not in a fit enough state to do so until later.

thats your clue. what makes china communist, is basically the name "communist party", the choise of RED in their flag, and their pyjamas instead of ordinary suits, and their official title of "people's republic"
china has realized that they cannot stay communist, and survive, so they have abandoned the blood red communism that they once aimed for.
china is no longer a communist country, as a communist country is understood.

'We saved your ass in WW2'.
Thanks. Really, thanks. But it was a while ago. You can stop boasting now about your forced involvement in the war following Pearl Harbour. Cheers.
